This (aerial?) photo, is hard to line up with topo map or terrain on the ground.

They gave us some additional information, but it was hard to use on the fly.

When he took us in he pointed out where the skiing was, but that was just if you wanted to go no further than you could see from the cabin. This did not include the route on the top right for instance. Nor does it show a route to the lake which seems very doable.

I was under the impression that these were safe from avalanches but he seemed to indicate otherwise when we got there. The photos of the other area for instance showed avalanche areas in yellow.

I also got the impression that beginner , intermediate, and advanced referred to more of a downhill rating.
