the Red Kangaroo Macropus rufus
has long pointed ears, a square mouth and white facial stripe from
the corner of the mouth towards the ear. They are not of a uniform
colour but the lower part of their legs are light grey to white and their
feet and forepaws are black. The tip of their tail is light ochre (rufus).
It is the largest (surviving) marsupial, and also the largest mammal, in
Australia, with males growing to around 90 kg. and 1•6 metres in height.
