Marvelous bokeh really highlights your subject. Is this the shrine at Ceasar's Palace?

Hal, Dr. Mandler was instrumental in the Leica lens design from 1950 to 1985. Peter Korbe now has created the latest Leica lenses which set a new standard of sharpness and micro-contrast. Advances in glass formulation, coatings, computer aided design and new mechanical processes have advanced the technology. I, myself, do not really like the latest, as well as I like the older. I like some character to the lens, which Dr. Mandler delivered.

Absolutely fascinating, from the object/subject to the DOF to the colors, just right!
I thought I recognized the bokeh!!

l like this photo very much Cindy.
l'm ashamed to say that l've never heard of Dr Mandler. Just Oscar Barnak.
When l visted the factory in Wetzlar years ago,
l was told that every new lens was compared for quality with the old
F3.5 50mm Elmar. The sharpest lens that they had ever made.

Thank you, Terry. This lens is Dr. Mandler's (Leitz/Leica camera...optical genius) finest optical formula. Michael's 75mm Summilux-M shares the exact formula. The lenses are known for their bokeh.

Incredibly sharp, Cindy. I really like the dof!
