I’ve had a hard day. I’ve cleaned and cleaned. Lola: myself, my fur, my paws, the cushion I’m sleeping on, the sofa, the carpet. Me: the bed linen, the mattress protector, the mattress, the pillows, the bedroom carpet, the furniture, the pyjamas. I’ve also done the ironing, the cooking and the pizzas – yes, we can make pizzas again. We have a working cooker courtesy of ebay. It was installed yesterday. I have used it twice and on both occasions I have cremated the food. Cooking with the leccy is something I am going to have to learn to master again!

Tonight, I sit on the sofa and - Lola: snooze. Me: watch Margin Call – wow what a fab movie. What could have made it better? Casting Laurence Fox as Will Emerson is the only thing I can think of to make it better and it’s too late for that! Me and ‘im both thought it was surprisingly and thrillingly taut for a film that we’d never have heard of before.

You may think a shot of my baby girl is a bit lame but she’s one of the two reasons I’m back PAD-ing so I make no apologies.

Now my couch-potato-eness is focused on “Love Actually” – now firmly in place as my favourite film of all time. It’s the second time I’ve seen it in a week – me and my Mum watched it last weekend but I’m sure it won’t be less enjoyable.
