Comet PANSTARRS is making its debut in the northern hemisphere. This is the first night I managed to capture it. For some of these images I still had not found it visually (scanning with 20x80 binoculars), I was just taking a shot in hopes that I would have it. The low horizon clouds to the west were bad and made spotting the comet difficult. I did find it at last with the binoculars and withing seconds was obscured by a cloud, not to return again, so my visual observations was pretty lack-luster as I only had a very brief view. Some of these images have been cropped to show less sky.
