A blast from the past thanks to John Ebel's sister Sue Ebel Holzschuler. We were all in 9th grade at nearby Palm Springs Junior High School at the time except for Ingrid who was a year older and in 10th grade at Hialeah High. The photo was taken at the shopping center that had a 7-11 facing W. 68th Street, a Standard Oil station on the corner, and an "L" shaped shopping center that included the dental office of Robert M. Wolf, D.D.S., a bike repair shop, Ed's Hardware, the Diamond Inn, several other businesses and later a Moo Cow (competitor to Farm Stores) on the western end.

Eric says: "In front of our store-front church (Resurrection Lutheran Church), next to Dr. Wolf's office and Ed's Hardware Store about 1961-62. We're standing in front of John's father's 1952 Oldsmobile--which John still has up in Wisconsin--and the 1958 Chevy next to it (light blue and white) is my father's car, which he traded-in during 1962."

At the time the Berglund sisters lived at 5201 E. 2nd Avenue, Eric lived at 4690 W. 9th Avenue and Norm/John lived at 6220 W. 8th Avenue, all in Hialeah.
