A dark room

A dark room in Bolsover Castle.

There’s a fairytale quality to Bolsover Castle that makes it a firm favourite with anyone looking for a great value day out in the East Midlands. Highlights include the sumptuously painted walls and ceilings of the Little Castle, intricately carved fireplaces and the magnificent indoor Riding School.

I scrolled down to vote several times, but kept having the need to go back and have another look. I'm about to do so again. V

I find the arched ceilings very impressive and a signature on times gone by...if the door in the corner is for people ,the room must be very high and the windows well above eye level...impressive contrast of geometrics between the window panes, floor and walls...V
