I was driving country roads a few weeks ago and stumbled across a mammoth commercial bird farm. The farm raises huge quantities of Pheasants and Partridge. I stopped and asked permission to take a few photos, and was allowed to walk the fences outside of the fields holding the birds. There were thousands of Pheasants and what appeared to be an even greater number of Partridge. They told me most of the birds are sold to game preserves and a few for consumption. A fascinating experience.
