Perkeo II Triptych

West Virginia

I thought I'd start the challenge with something I have a hard time doing. Creating montages in Photoshop. This is a triptych of my latest film camera - the Perkeo.

The Perkeo II is a medium format folding rangefinder made by Voigtlander of Germany in the 1950's. Perkeo means pygmy. Despite using 120 film, it small enough to put in a pocket. The last photo in the triptych shows it beside my Pentax K10D which is a 10 MP DSLR. A 120 scanned negative yields a file of over 30 MBs. Size isn't everything. :)

Submitted for the March Challenge - March Mix.

One thinks of 'old' cameras as large, clumsy pieces of kit. Great triptych Karen, I like the size comparison.
