A Haircut and a Coffee Sir?

The sun unfortunately had disappeared today so I thought the
muted colours of these shops matched the weather.

I like the close in crop on these two. I'm inclined to agree with something that Sheila alluded to; I'm not sure that I'd know from looking at it exactly what Barry's is. I appreciate the desire for a nice, clean appearance but I think that in marketing terms that may be a self-defeating decor.

An interesting capture. The bike completes it.

I miss that days when there was a real barber's pole...
I like the dramatic difference in shop fronts here. One is clean and modern and simple, while the other isn't. Nice find!!!

I wonder what "the works" is, maybe a number 1 grade cut :-)

I like the sidewalk, nice idea rather than boring one colour

A nice shot of these shops, so neat to see the old barber pole being used. Excellent muted tones. V

They don't make barber poles like the used too! Lovely capture of this appealing scene! V

seems to be a slow day for business..a little shop nearby here in Vancouver sells Barry's Tea, imported from Ireland..

With the bike leaning against the wall it makes us wonder if he is in Barry's or if he is getting a hair cut. Nice to see they still have the red and white barber pole. I'm with Johnny, I like the striped pavement too!

Pretty little shops. The colors look very bright despite the lack of sun. V.

Nice shot of everyday life.
Looks like Barry is still deciding how to complete his sign :0) Interesting shop fronts, so different in the amount of window space they have.
Johnny JAG27-Feb-2013 21:32
I like the striped pavement

I love this... -- especially the nonchalant, blue-tyred bike.... But what does Barry’s do/sell...? Intriguing....
