A double find for "W". Good crisp photo of tower an antennas.
A friend once said the suburbs of Chicago are named after their Water Towers. Not many towers are named in Connecticut. Hamden CT was the location of the first Water Tower for city use. Inventor Eli Whitney and son supplied New Haven with pressurized water. The dam on Whitney Lake supplied the water (and built next to the gun factory where Eli invented interchangeable parts for the Union Army). Before that, hotels only had bathtubs on the first floor. Eli was remembered for inventing the Cotton Gin, but that design was copied so often it was a financial failure.
