This was the original General Motors headquarters building, before they moved to the Renaissance Center on the Detroit riverfront. It was designed by Albert Kahn and built in the 1920s
The building was then purchased by the State of Michigan for their Detroit area offices.
It houses Satellite courtrooms for the Michigan Appeals court and Supreme court as well as a satellite office for the Governor and various other state agencies.
