Duke and Daisy

Working in a local paper, you get to write about lots of stories.
Good news and bad, happy stories and sad.
For the past two weeks I've been keeping an eye on the search for Duke and Daisy.
These two beautiful Spaniels went missing, most likely stolen, from their home.
Their heartbroken owners have launched a major search for them, including setting up a Facebook page, distributing leaflets and putting up posters.
So far there's been no positive sightings, but as a dog owner, I'm really hoping this story has a happy ending.

I just looked at the Facebook page; it's a few weeks after you posted this (I'm way behind in commenting, agaiinnnn...) and there's still no sign that they've been brought home. It seems unlikely that they would both wander off, and theft does seem more likely. Seriously, some people need throttling...

A sad story that hopefully will have a good outcome.

Sad to see them missing but being micro chipped should help get them back where they belong.

Oh dear, too sad. I always feel bad when I see the "Missing" and "Lost" pet signs.

dog-nappers must be a delirious lot..still there should be profit to be made on purebreds..desperation for money seems to know no bounds..deeply resonant image..

So sad and this image captures the pathos. V

Very sad. I hope they are seen and returned too. It seems it would be hard to hide two active dogs.

Oh dear, that's just so sad. Who would even do such a terrible thing? I was sure when I saw the image that you had a happy ending, but I see not yet. I do hope they're found and returned to their people.

I sincerely hope that these 2 doggies are found safe and sound! How sad to think that someone would steal them..... :(
Please keep us posted should you learn the outcome.
