to my eyes, this is one of the prettiest fungi around. most of the time, all one sees is the blue hyphae which looks like blue paint sprayed on a rotting log, but after a good rainfall, the fruiting bodies appear, as here. their colour is amazing, especially for a fungus. they are very tiny, however, so you need to look closely on rotting tree stumps and logs in the woods.
