QANTAS Boeing 737 in foreground
Airport closed for 2 hrs in storm. Flights could not return to Sydney due to Sydney curfew at 11pm.
Flights could not leave origin airport until Melbourne airport open.
At 0045 the taxi queues were 200m long
Not a pleasant evening for many, apart from the few photographers who captured some images of this dramatic event. A few were lucky to get lightning strikes in their images.
