Pretty much every day, the "Bollo Lady" comes up the street selling her wares. Her repeated lusty calls of "Bollo" (which, being a Spanish word, sounds to my ear like "boy-o") brings people out of their apartments and into the street, where they buy their daily bollo. Bollo is a bun made of mashed yuca -- which is not the same as yucca -- wrapped in a corn husk, and boiled [see picture].
