A particularly interesting collection of signs. The top one, weathered so badly that the first line
is illegible (not only in the photograph, but in reality) probably says something like "Notice to all",
because the rest of the sign states: "Pig owners[:] All stray pigs will be seized on or after June 30, 1**1"
A scar in the wood makes it impossible to determine the year. Was it 1931? Seems unlikely that the sign would be still there
after all that time, and still partially readable. Was it 1981? More likely, given the condition of the sign,
but the relative youthfulness of the pole the sign is on makes it also suspect.
A genuine mystery; one only hopes that all owners of stray pigs knew the cutoff date.
The bottom sign is also interesting. I wonder how parking striaght differs from parking straight.
