Whatcom County, Washington

Fire in the Sky over Vancouver Island, Canada
from Point Roberts, Washington

Many people question the honesty of my sunset images, and I
can understand why. The colors are so vivid, and intense they
just don't seem real.

They are very real indeed! By shooting with a very long lens the
portion of sky included in the photo is very small, and I always
select the most intense portion to reveal all the incredible colors,
shapes, and textures. My sunset photos are indeed totally real! In fact, I
actually have de-saturated this image and reduced the intensity a little bit.

These are skills I've learned over many years and hundreds of sunsets.
