Sea flower

Melbourne

Sea flower once growing
on the bottom of the sea
lays forlorn
at the white sands of the shore
beside my footsteps

Her petals once of beautiful colour
has been bleached
by sun and the sea breeze

Her scent is salty
which is fading away
thinly by the wind.

Sea flower, now I found you
You will be always mine,
I will take you far away.
forever to stay.

Ethereal image. Love the white shapes against the dark background and the texture. The verse is lovely. V.

A lovely piece of coral, like a little sculpture, and very effective in B&W. Love the poem. V

Yes, very pretty flower. May have been a type of coral?
