Statue of Kun Iam (Avalokitesvara) 觀音蓮花苑全身像 (2002) by Portuguese artist Cristina Rocha Leiria
This 20 meter tall status stands atop the Kun Iam Ecumenical Center

In Chinese tradition, Avalokitesvara always looks to the sea. This western work faces the wrong way. Besides, her Caucasian face resembles Madonna.
