Not a bad bunch of flowers, just a bad bunch of images that day. These flowerbeds are part of a series that are scattered through the CBD during summer.

After I got this into Photoshop I thought "Hang on, when did the Olympus start shooting JPGs?" Answer: When it was returned from repairs, and I forgot to change the setting back to raw, and I couldn't find the setting on the menu. (I've now downloaded a .pdf of the manual and found it. Found the way to set the colour space to Adobe RGB too...)

"Hang on, where was the exposure compensation control again?" Answer: "Oh, there it is."

"Hang on, what made me think that trying to do a macro shot on a bright day like today when I really can't see the display screen anyway?" Answer: Ah, there isn't one.

Anyhoo, it was a bright and sunny and rather humid summer's day, which is what this shot set out to record.

However... it was nothing like the following day. We'll get to that.
