Silver

All the disruption caused by the flooding has resulted in a great move to redecorate and tidy up the house. It started with the rooms affected by the water but has spread to the whole of the ground floor. Painting, sealing floors, sorting out "stuff" with heaps to go to a charity shop and heaps more to be sold, hopefully, on ebay. I shan't recognise the place! Today I emptied a dresser drawer and found a selection of spoons and forks, all badly tarnished but now they are all bright and shining... and back in the drawer! ;)

A highly polished shot

Excellent control of highlights and very nice mid tones, but would have liked something a bit more interesting in top left.
Is that a christening spoon I spot in ctr?

This looks stunning in original size.
Brilliant B and W work.

Until the next photo op I would hope. I think keeping this in B&W helps to amplify not only the "grain" in the silver but also the cloth underneath. It gives the "feel" of what both would be like to the touch.

You have some beautiful silverware there Ann and the shine shows up really well in Black and White. Great
Contrast.

Whenever something disruptive like that happens to me it always makes me wonder, how long would it have been before I would have gotten to this otherwise?!
I'd say this was one of the silver linings behind your cloud. (pun intended) :)
