New Years Day 2013

"Jade Plant": Crassula ovata

This plant is also known by the names of the "Friendship Plant", "The Money Plant", and the "Good Luck Plant".
Usually for our New Years Day dinner, I put a dime under each dinner plate That is supposed to bring good luck and wealth in the New Year. In the rush of a busy day, I had forgotten to do that this year.
Nevertheless, the Jade Plant being in bloom also represents "friendship, wealth, and good luck".

Happy New Year!!!

The photo was taken hand held, indoors, under natural lighting.
