Boletus flaviporus

I had got used to 2 boletes with a bright yellow pore surface on the East coast: Boletus innixus and B. auriporus. Although the picture does not really show the bright yellow, here is a third from California: Boletus flaviporus. The common name is Viscid Bolete.

Checkout the others:

I agree with Peter that this is much like our Boletus auriporus, which has the same brillant golden yellow pores and a slipperry, greasy looking stipe. Recent taxonomy puts these two in the genus Aureoboletus and you can read the paper on that if you want.
