On the house at No. 1 Kanonicza Street, the former 16th century Palace of Bishop Samuel Maciejowski. In the first half of the 19th century it became a court and prison and functioned as such until 1970. The portal's inscription reads "Imperial and Royal Court Inquisitor’s Office". Today it is a part of the Krakow University of Technology.
