Wonderful photo that brought back lots of memories. I grew up in New Zealand. Back in the 1940's the peninsula was still an active army base but somehow we had access to a house at the tip of the peninsula and enjoyed marvelous summer vacations there. Army Bay was our best place for fishing for grouper (off the point) oysters off the rocks and swimming. I have lived in the US for more than 50 years but this place is still clear as a bell in my thoughts.
