Museum of the History of the Polish Jews is a new museum under construction on the site of the Warsaw ghetto. The cornerstone was laid in 2007 and the museum is scheduled to open some time after April, 2013. The museum will feature multimedia exhibits on vibrant Jewish community that flourished in Poland for a thousand years. The building, a modern structure in glass and limestone, was designed by Finnish architects Rainer Mahlamäki and Ilmari Lahdelma.
