Well... not really! We were actually heading out for the day when Lucy spied the ambulance at the local fire station.
That demanded a sudden turn to the right and as luck would have it, one of the paramedics was out for a run.
So, I stopped and asked if it would be OK if my friend might see the ambulance parked out front.
He was most helpful and even said I could park immediately in front of the fire station as long as I didn't block the exit if they got a call.
Fantastic!
And then he suddenly realized who my "special friend" was and very kindly asked if I needed any help. Paramedics are that way, you know. Always wanting to help and do things for people.
Perhaps he thought I was personally in need of help being that I was driving this mannequin around.
Oh well... I thanked him and said we would be fine and said that Lucy wanted a photo next to the ambulance.
So I got a quick shot before a call might come through that would send them off with lights flashing and sirens blaring to save another life.
