Rough-legged Hawk

Hwy 45, north of Kenton; Obion Co TN

The bird made a couple of brief forays after prey that I couldn't see, and was pretty agile on the ground.

This action shot in mid step is my favorite. It shows leg structure and feathering on and about the legs so well. All are excellent shots of a beautiful bird.
