Thanks for your comments. These Aloe Vera plants grow year round here in mild So Cal. This was taken on an overcast day at an hour before sundown. This is a small field, 25 feet by 10 feet, of Aloe Vera in the Huntington Gardens cactus garden near Pasadena, CA.

I love that lens too! Nice colours and contrast. For me, it's not common to see so many Aloe's in one place, more a indore, decoration plant. This looks more like a plantage or something.
