A plastic chain drives three spring loaded 100-tpi precision screws (0.01 inch/turn). One is visible in front below chain. Brass posts and knurled ring are part of original helical focuser which is no longer used except to increase range. Large cylinder on plate contains the corrector lens. Pear-shaped toggles allow easy rotation and removal of camera.
