Lagoon.

After getting yellow fever vaccine, and bringing malaria pills, we were quite worried about being mobbed by biting insects (like mosquitoes). Turns out there were hardly any. The water has a very high tannin content from the decomposed leaves which kills the larvae. The only place they can lay eggs is in the forest in leaves or bark where there is a little water. Which is also where the tree frogs lay their eggs....
