Israel Museum, Jerusalem

This remarkable 1:50 scale model of Jerusalem in the late Second Temple Period, about 66 CE, spreads over 21,000 square feet. It was designed by historian and geographer Michael Avi-Yonah and built largely by his wife. It was based on the writings of Flavius Josephus and other historical sources.
