Thanks everyone - what lovely comments! Tony, the lakeside objects are just small stones. The water level was down at the time I took this. It's higher now.

I love how the water acts as a reflector to really pick up the light in the overhanging areas. Also the treees without the leaves seem to further accent those that have (I like the term unleaving. I used it tonight as I settled in for a nice night of computer work :)

That is one beautiful fall landscape with such rich colours
