This is an intriguing shot - it has a magical quality.

Thanks for the reply. I've used this lens on my E-5 with a monopod for some steadying, but not close to the ground. For that I'd need to hang my camera from the tripod center pole. You're brave to put your camera down on the seashore by the waves. But it's weatherproof right? Good shooting.

Thank you all for comments.
To Dave who asks how it's done: Macro with the 50mm, without a tripod, had to put the camera on the ground (this is by the seashore), watched the waves rolling over some small stones and took a lot of pictures in order to get the timing right. Did some cropping to get rid of some foreground obstructions and some smoothing too. The stones look big, but they are only about an inch or two.

This is terrific Trond. (You're gonna love the live bulb for this kind of stuff)

A wonderful image. To have seen this, capture it technically and see the possibilities for this scene is truly masterful. Want to hear how you did this. I'm guessing it's a long exposure with high key on the brighter water beyond?

Kind of magical how the water transitions to my imagination into clouds. I like how the water sits like a layer upon the rocks.

I feel like I've walked into a spa. Nice and relaxing feel to the shot, great use of that slow shutter. Nice composition too.
