We cruised up the Rhine Gorge this morning. It is the classic castle or palace every mile or so. It was great fun to see them all. Of course, we cruised by the Lorely Rock. The highlight of the day was not the castles. We stopped at Rudesheim and had a visit at Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett, a museum of mechanical instruments, all in working order. They had giant ones and they had tiny ones. It was very fun to watch these things work. This particular one played the piano and the violin. Very cool. I think this was about the very best thing we saw on the whole trip. The guide was a hoot as well.
