Asian ladybeetle (Harmonia axyridis)

There were many of these ladybeetles sitting on the dried tansy flowers alongside a trail. It was a warmish day and the sun was bright, and they were probably enjoying it just as we were! They'll soon be seeking somewhere warm and dry to spend the winter, because this species overwinters in the adult stage. Many insects overwinter as either eggs, larvae or pupae, but a surprising number also spend the winter in the adult stage.

Hard to find warm and dry in CA. They should fly to Arizona. LOL I love lady bugs.
