Paul found several Osprey nests at Emerald Bay Lake Tahoe. This particular nest can be seen from the Rubicon Trail which runs along the southern side of the Bay and makes its way to Sugar Pine State Park.

These are two juvenile Osprey. They are nearly as big as the adults and can be distinguished by the orange coloring of the eye. Adults have a pale yellow eye.
