Saying Goodbye is Never Easy
An old photo of Simon for today. He still looks good in this picture.
It was from a year and half ago.

I had to make the decision to end his life when it became apparent that he
wouldn't get better. Vet said it was Intestinal Cancer.

I spent some time with him before we went to the Vet. I made a lunch of warm steak,
minced into bite size pieces and brushed him. Two things he loved. Beside me that is.
He was a true "dog" cat, who was constantly at my side or on my lap.
My lap feels empty now.

I held him, and he purred right until the very end.
Thanks to my Pbase friends and to Simon's Pbase fans, who all sent condolences.
