Very courageous little bison. Side by side with his dad (?), he moved up my car, and passed the vehicle almost contemptuously. This was actually one of the few bison jams caused by the animals using the highway to get from A to B. Most were a result of cars stopping in the middle of the road, and people throwing their point-and-shoot out of the window to take that unforgettable bison pic. Bison were everywhere. 'Ve seen hundreds and hundreds. They seem to be in good shape, after the mild winter. But things could become very tough in the upcoming winter, when most they can scrape free under - how many? - feet of snow is grass that has been scorched this summer by drought and heat.
