To mount the scope I took an old Freeland rail and fitted it to some 3/8" to 3/8" riser blocks. The blocks had to be milled down to fit inside the rail.

There are shims beneath the front mounting point because the front and rear dovetails are not the same height. This allows the action to remain non-stressed.

The 2002 has a flip-up loading port and is a real challenge to scope in the normal way. Long story; but the 2001 version is a lot better for mounting a normal scope.
