I thought that you might enjoy seeing the entire building. Yesterday, I just showed one of the doors and a bit of the building.

That looks old enough to be in the UK!
A very adaptable building and fine shot with the dappled light in the trees

Thank you hal, Lynn, Pat, Lennart and Terry. Lynn, I noticed that the feature has a bell in it. I know the building was a smoke-house in its last use, but wonder if maybe it wasn't a school house earlier. There is a root-cellar built into the hill on the right of this building. I understand that the original pioneer homesteader built that as their first living quarters. An abandoned stone house sits in front of this smoke-house and a nice barn is also situated to the right of the house. I hope I can visit this area again in the future and try to learn more of the history of this pioneer family.

I'm fascinated by the round columned feature on top of the older cupola. It has an odd design, and looks like it was added later. Cool!

This is really special Cindy. The building is a melange of various designs,
all combining to make a very original structure.
Part church, part house, part lighthouse, part stable.
Fascinating.
