I observed five different eagles' nests during the summer of 2012. This nest is on the cliff above Airport Beach Road, opposite the health clinic. These eagles are well-known for attacking pedestrians who wander too close. Both eaglets fledged this year. The younger, less aggressive of the pair spent a week longer in the nest than its sibling, finally being driven off by mom. Once they are out of the nest the parents do not allow them back. This image is taken from a small center section of the digital file. I was shooting from about 200 meters away.
