We drove slowly out of Boulder enjoying every mile of the stunning and strange scenery. This stretch of road never gets old. We stopped frequently and took too many pictures. Met a couple at an overlook who had driven from Vermont to visit their kids in Denver. This was their ‘trip within their trip’. We saw them at a couple more pull-outs and suggested that they do the little drive down the Hole-in-the-Rock Road to the Devil’s Garden. We were following them when they made the turn, so we were glad they’d taken our advice.
