This bird was found feeding among approx. 50 Semipalmated Sandpipers et al at the "Boathole" just west of Gurnet Point on the southp-facing side of where Crescent Beach abuts Gurnet Point.
The long downcurved bill and the rusty coverts are idicative for Western. The lack of flecks or marks on the sides are indicative of this being a juvenile bird as is the late date (adults should have passed through and be well south by now).
