We took a left in Hanksville and headed north toward I-70. This drive would become dull with familiarity, but to our eastern eyes, the vistas are incredible. The Waterpocket Fold is way off to the left and will become more dramatic as we go along.

We took a left on the road into Goblins State Park but then decided to drive in toward Little Wild Horse Canyon. We had no intention of going into the slot canyon…just checking out the interesting dirt road. The road goes up a rugged canyon…washboarded some but driveable by a car.
