We had a very enjoyable day today with Daniel and Jacqueline. We went to church and afterward Daniel had organized a meet up with quite a few of Ginny's relatives at a pub across from the church. After that we returned to the house to enjoy a great time with all of Daniel and Jacqueline's children and grand children. What a great time. Jacqueline cooked a fantastic meal that everyone enjoyed. It was lots of fun watching the grandchildren being grandchildren. Later in the day we went to Ypres for a very special ceremony at the Menin Gate. It is called the Last Post and it commemorates the soldiers of the British Empire who perished there during World War 1. It is a very moving time that really makes you think about the sacrifices that men and nations make to bring freedom to the world. Afterward we went for a nice dinner at a restaurant in the main square of Ypres. Daniel suggested that I choose Tangerlo Blond, which I did. I was not disappointed. Very good beer. As you can see Daniel seems to be enjoying it as well.
