Spanish festoon, Spain

In a field somewhere in Spain!

I thought it was high time I posted a butterfly shot, as we saw and photographed many a species during our time in Spain. I was never totally happy with the results, but this is one of my favourites.

"Zerynthia rumina, the Spanish festoon, is a butterfly belonging to the family Papilionidae. It is a widespread species in Iberia and frequents most habitats."

Love the wide format presentation of this lovely image.
The Butterfly is beautiful and perfectly perched for your sharp lens.
The bokeh is flattering and the Butterfly shows his grace as she prepares to feed.
If I had to name her I would call her Lovely.
