On August 20, 2012, the drilling rig Kulluk was towed from its moorage at OSI in Captains Bay, Unalaska. Thus began the two-week journey to the Beaufort Sea, where Kulluk will drill one or perhaps two test wells. The rig is owned by Shell Oil Co.
