Crossing from Germany (Bavaria) into Austria, near Salzburg

n June 1948 Sisi's mother Ludovica and several of her brood squeezed into the family coach to travel east, beyond Salzburg to the spa town of Bad Ischl, a relatively informal royal retreat where Sophia, the Dowager Empress, and her family awaited them.
